Over the years......
Things you may not have known....
Along with the Roadhouse Band, Boe has toured extensiviely with national acts The Burnt River Band and Sue Sheppard and Country Pride. Burnt River is considered the nation's #1 Biker Band. Country Pride had several songs on Billboard Country charts in the 80's.
During the early 00's, Boe had retired from fulltime playing. Big Ronnie, Ronnie, and Brian formed a side band called "Sons of Roadhouse". Sons of Roadhouse also featured, Brian "BK" Kean and Roadhouse cousin, Michael Gembka.
Brian has been with the band on and off since 2000, fulltime since 2005. Brian was actually Ronnie's bartending trainer while the two worked at Applebee's. Brian made mention that he use to play in bands. Ronnie took the hint and the two have been playing together ever since.
Heatherlee and Ronnie met while on stage in 2004 at a local jam night. Ronnie was filling in with another local group who were friends of Heather's. Only three weeks later, Heather made her Roadhouse Debut at the Lew Reed Poker Run.
The rest of the Family....
With carrying a year round intense schedule and playing over 100 times annually, the band highly relies on our extended family members. Also known as the Yellow Delicious band, thanks to Pat, Scotti, and Tom Smith for always being there when needed.
These local music veterans have been affectionately named
"The Roadhouse Replacements" or the "Smith Brothers Band".
Over the 30 year history of the band, alot of musicians have come and gone. But Big Ronnie is more then just another musician, rather a permanent member of the band no matter how many miles away he may be. During the 80's, Ron served as band roadie for Boe, who where neighbors. It was in 1996 that Big Ron took the next step and learned how to play bass. Although he now resides in Florida when his career moved him down South, whenever he is in town you can be sure that he will be back on stage with the band.
Not just another musician....but forever family!!!
